We at Conference Centre Oxford recognise that catering plays an important part of any conference or event, and strive to provide the best quality and service to be found in Oxford.

 

At Conference Centre Oxford we are be able to cater for a wide variety of events. Such occasions might include tea and coffee services with the availability of light snacks and refreshments, canapé and drink receptions, corporate dinners, wedding receptions, private parties and conference break out refreshments.

 

This page details menu options to fulfill all your needs. We aim to be flexible wherever possible and are able to tailor menus for different budgets and tastes. Please note that all prices below exclude VAT (Value Added Tax). We also have an extensive wine list, and bar facilities available upon request. Whatever the occasion, we will aspire to create an experience to meet your wishes.

 

Our Event Organisers and Coordinators will work with you to plan your menus, or to liaise with outside vendors to ensure your food service goes smoothly on the day.

Lunch Buffet Options

These options are designed for lunch or evening events, when a formal sit-down meal is not appropriate.

 

Menu A 

A selection of sandwiches:

Chicken and basil pesto, egg and red pepper mayonnaise,

mature cheddar and chutney, ham and wholegrain mustard.

 

Fresh fruit salad

 

A variety of teas and filter coffee

Tomato and Teleggio tart

 

Salmon fillet with soy sauce and ginger, roasted cucumber and couscous

Vegetarian option: Roast aubergine Parmigiana with pesto dressing and herb salad

 

Chocolate brownie with double cream

Flat mushroom on smashed peas with hollandaise sauce

 

Chicken breast with roast vegetable ratatouille, lemon couscous and fine green beans

Vegetarian option: Roasted vegetable, bean and garlic casserole with lemon couscous.

Menu C 

Salmon fillet with cucumber salad and sweet chili dressing

Vegetarian option: Pea and parmesan penne pasta with cracked black pepper

 

Rack of lamb with pea puree, roasted courgettes and herbed new potatoes

Vegetarian option: Spinach and mushroom en croute with roasted courgettes and herbed potatoes

 

Pear frangipane sponge with clotted cream

Cheeseboard 

Available to be added and served buffet-style with any of the above dinner menus

Mature Cheddar - Cheddar cheese is a relatively hard and rich cheese originating from the

English village of Cheddar, in Somerset.

 

Oxford Blue - Made in a Stilton Dairy to precise specifications, this cheese is matured and distributed solely by the Oxford Blue Cheese Company Limited. Oxford Blue is a soft, creamy blue cheese that has a mild taste with a slight sharpness.

 

Brie - A very soft and savoury cow's cheese named after Brie, the French province in which it originated

 

Oxford Isis - The fresh cheese base product is sprayed and ripened with Oxfordshire honey mead over a period of time, during which the cheese alters in character and matures into a creamy consistency and develops a pronounced flavour and flowery aroma.

 

With the following accompaniments:

Biscuits, grapes, celery and chutney.

A typically fruity Chilean Cabernet delivering the kind of fruit style for which this country has become famously just. An excellent, fruit-driven and tasty red, this wine has vibrant rich blackcurrant fruit with touches of cigar boxes and herbs – delicious!

This is Rioja at its precocious youthful best, with intense raspberry and black cherry fruit overlayed with a flourish of vanilla and coconut. It is beautifully balanced with medium weight and cushioned by fine grain tannins.

A classic style of purple-tinged Beaujolais which is light, juicy and really refreshing with very bright raspberry fruit.

 

Montepulciano d’Abbruzo, Colle Morino, Barba, Italy - £25.00 per bottle

100% Montepulciano, this wine has unusual depth and weight and is bottled unfiltered. It has classic almonds on the nose, and is full of fresh vibrant cherry and juicy plum fruit. Definitely a cut above your average example from this wine region.

A classic claret with its scented aroma, attractive plumy fruit, sandalwood and vanilla overlay. Best of all is its finesse, harmony and elegance.

A delicate dry white wine, with aromas of apple blossom and a touch of marzipan.

A crisp ultra clean white that has mouthwatering flavours of apples and citrus, and even a hint of gooseberry. Great with fish or seafood and brilliant on its own as an aperitif.

Very pure ripe buttery fruit flavour with good fresh acidity. A classy New World Chardonnay.

 

Grüner Veltliner, Jurtchitsch Sonnhof, Austria - £29.95 per bottle

This green-tinged wine has a citrus nose of lime and peach, which is followed by flavours of melon, green apples and spicy hay. A refreshingly different wine with a waxy texture and a good long finish.

 

Petit Chablis, Justin Nocevin, France - £30.50 per bottle

With floral aromas and a lively taste, our Petit Chablis is an enjoyable wine! The nose has aromas of linden, fennel and citronella. The palate has great freshness and vididness.


Poilly Fumé Les Loges, Domaine Pierre Marchand, Loire, France - £36.50 per bottle

Classic gooseberry and blackcurrant fruit backed up with good, firm and crisp acidity. This is a delicious Sauvignon from the Loire.

 

Peter Lehmann Réserve Semillon, Barossa Valley, Australia - £39.00 per bottle

This is a delicious unoaked and mature Semillon with flavours of beeswax and lemon flower, made from superior patches of vines in the Barossa Valley.

This non-vintage blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir is pale straw in colour, with a fresh citrus bouquet of apple and lemon with fresh bready notes developed over two years of ageing. The deliciously crisp palate displays a toasty, creamy complexity enhanced by a lingering nutty finish.

A small family run house in the Marne Valley. This is very much an aperitif style Champagne as it is dry, bright and citrusy with a hint of lemon sherbet and lots of lively acidity.

The colour is a pale golden hue, with fine and persistent bubbles. The nose is fresh and delicate, showing good complexity with hints of citrus and white fruit. With its elegant style, this Champagne is perfectly balanced with crisp flavours and finesse.
